Principal's Message

Dear Eagle Families,

I hope this message finds you well. As we prepare to begin a new school year, I am excited to welcome both our returning families and those joining us for the first time!

I am proud to share that our school earned an A-rating again, which is an achievement that reflects the partnership between our dedicated staff, our hardworking students, and our supportive families. Together, we will continue to foster a supportive and engaging learning environment where every student is empowered to grow, achieve success, and reach their full potential.

I am proud to introduce our new Program of Exploration (POE): Mission Launch: Discover. Design. Elevate.

This innovative program will provide students with hands-on learning experiences inspired by real-world space innovation. Over time, students will progress through three stages:  Discover, Design, and Elevate, working collaboratively to imagine and build a theoretical community on Mars through our “Operation Red Planet” concept.  This opportunity allows students to engage in meaningful learning that connects imagination with real-world application. We are excited to see our 6th grade Eagles begin this journey and grow through each stage of the program.

Please mark your calendar for Schedule Pick-Up on Thursday, August 6. We will begin with our 7th and 8th grade students from 10:00–11:00 a.m., followed by 6th grade students from 11:00 a.m.–noon. I would also like to invite our 6th grade students and their families to a Popsicle Social from 12:00–1:00 p.m. in our Red Apple Dining Room. This is a great opportunity to meet fellow families, get to know the administration team, and connect with our PTSA. 

The year ahead holds countless opportunities for our students to discover new interests, develop their strengths, and make lasting memories. We are grateful for your support and look forward to working together to ensure every student has a positive and successful experience at Greenwood Lakes Middle School.
